EUKI Newsletter

Date: 7 January 2021

Dear EUKI Friends and Colleagues,

Happy New Year from the entire team behind the European Climate Initiative! After a challenging but yet impactful year 2020, we look forward to supporting the inspiring work of our already more than 120 European climate projects in 2021.

In this newsletter, we present a selection of project activities from the past two months. Read more about the growing energy community movement in Greece, potentials of using nature-based solutions in cities and get inspired by the new Podcast series by EUKI project Young Energy Europe. Furthermore, EUKI project BEACON has published a toolbox on how to create interactive “vision workshops” to teach climate neutrality to pupils. The toolbox can be downloaded for free, is available in six languages and full of practical information.

Finally, we would like to once more draw your attention to our current 5th EUKI Call for Project Ideas. With the “Next Generation EU” recovery plan and the recently updated EU climate target, the window for opportunities in the field of climate action is wide open now. At EUKI, we are looking forward to your new project ideas and to welcome more organisations to our fast-growing pan-European Community this year. The application window is still open until 19 January.

Visit our website for more information about the 5th EUKI Call for Project Ideas and - most importantly - stay safe and sound in 2021!

Yours sincerely,

Stefan Bundscherer
Director European Climate Initiative (EUKI)
