New Call for Ideas Open: We Fund Your Ideas for Climate Action!

Dear friends of climate action in Europe,

On behalf of the German Federal Environment Ministry (BMU), I am happy to open the sixth call for project ideas of the European Climate Initative (EUKI) todayAre you working for a non-profit entity? Do you have a convincing idea on how to contribute to climate change mitigation in Europe? Then find suitable partners, get together, sketch an ambitious, yet feasible concept note and make sure to submit it by 12 January 2022 

Once selected, we provide you between 120,000 and 1 million EUR  per project covering one of EUKI’s core areas: climate policy, energy. buildings and municipalities, mobility, agriculture, soils and forestry, awareness, climate-aligned finance and sustainable economy.

What? We fund transformative cross-border projectswith an expected relevant contribution on Climate Change mitigation. We clearly strive for Climate Neutrality.  

How?Please, follow the information on financing and submit your project proposal here 

Who? Non-profit organisations from civil society, academia and education as well as municipalities and non-profit enterprises, such as think-tanks, are all welcome! 

Where? We fund projects in EU Member States and accession andidate countries

The Financing Programme EUKI is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. It is the overarching goal of the EUKI to foster climate cooperation within the European Union (EU) in order to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions.'
