A practical Guide on Peatlands – Nature’s Forgotten Heroes

dflip

The EUKI project Dinaric Karst Peatlands for Climate Resilience pilots new financing and business opportunities for the protection and restoration of the karst peatlands in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro and brings together local communities, policymakers, researchers and businesses to develop long-term conservation strategies.

Developed in schools in the key peatland regions of Livanjsko Polje in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Lake Skadar in Montenegro, this practical guide provides teachers and students with interactive activities, experiments and practical exercises, helping them explore the role of peatlands in climate protection, biodiversity and climate resilience.

Read up on a series of workshops, exploring Education and Experiential Learning, Peatlands and Ecosystem Services, Peatlands and Climate Change, and Learning Through Play, followed by activities on continuation and an evaluation of the 2024 outdoor workshops.
