Small Biogas Plants
This publication by the Bavarian State Research Center for Agriculture (LfL) and the University of Novi Sad Faculty of Technical Sciences addresses farmers, ministries, and professionals in the fields of renewable energies, agriculture, and environmental protection, as well as the general public. Its purpose is to inform these target groups about the importance of small biogas plants for mitigating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from animal husbandry.
The brochure explains why small biogas plants matter, what impact manure has on the environment, what the challenges and benefits of biogas plants are, and finally offers two examples of good practice. While including general facts and figures about animal husbandry, manure potentials, GHG emissions from livestock, the publication focuses on the biogas sectors in Germany and Serbia.
