The Greenhouse Gas Action Plan (GHGAP) for agriculture in the UK was adopted in 2011 by 14 organisations representing the UK agricultural sector to meet the UK’s emission reduction target for the sector as a whole. The Action Plan has proved successful, mainly due to efficiency measures, modern farming practices and the application of best practices. The case study of the BEACON project with Navigant and adelphi investigates the transferability of climate policy measures to the German context.
