Factsheet: Transport Decarbonisation

dflip

EUKI project Transforming Transport reduces transport emissions and addresses transport poverty in Czechia and Slovenia through collaborative policies, sustainable urban planning, and inclusive mobility solutions.

The factsheet explains that transport decarbonisation is essential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and creating healthier, more sustainable mobility. It challenges common myths by showing that decarbonisation does not mean banning cars, wasting money, or only benefiting large cities, but instead offers practical solutions. It highlights benefits such as cleaner air, better public health, and long-term financial savings for municipalities. The document stresses that clean transport strategies must be adapted to local conditions, supported by EU policies and funding, and designed to ensure fairness, accessibility, and economic opportunity.
