Handbook for Energy Community Founders in Slovakia

dflip

EUKI project COMMENCE – Community Energy in Central Europe empowers active customers and energy communities by providing guidance on the economic aspects of electricity sharing, fostering decentralised and sustainable energy systems.

This handbook supports the establishment of energy communities in Slovakia, providing practical guidance on legal frameworks, financing, and management to promote sustainable, decentralised energy systems based on renewables.
It covers legal, technical, and regulatory aspects, highlighting benefits for energy security and renewable integration while outlining implementation steps in line with Slovak and EU regulations.
Challenges such as regulatory barriers, financing difficulties, and technical issues are addressed with solutions. By fostering local collaboration, energy communities can help transform Slovakia’s energy landscape.

The handbook was developed by SAPI in collaboration with experts from Poláček & Partners, ENERGIQUBE, KEKS, and the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (SIEA).

The document is in Slovak.
