Schools as Drivers to Climate Neutrality in Cities – Manual for Municipalities

dflip

EUKI project Visions 2045 – Schools as Drivers to Climate Neutrality in Cities empowers schools to take an active role in local climate action. Its handbook on schools as drivers to climate neutrality (Manual for Municipalities) provides guidance for local authorities and external partners on how to support schools in reducing emissions, fostering cooperation, and embedding climate action into everyday structures.

The publication shows that climate neutrality in schools is not only a technical task but a shared societal process requiring coordinated action, reliable structures and long-term commitment. With key fields such as energy, mobility, nutrition, waste, procurement and environmental education, the manual equips municipalities and stakeholders to actively support climate-neutral development in schools and beyond.
