Schools as Drivers to Climate Neutrality in Cities – Manual for Schools

dflip

EUKI project Visions 2045 – Schools as Drivers to Climate Neutrality in Cities empowers schools to take an active role in local climate action. Its handbook on schools as drivers to climate neutrality (Manual for Schools) provides practical tools for teachers and headmasters to reduce emissions, strengthen participation, and integrate sustainability into everyday school life.

The publication shows that this transition is not only technical but also a social process requiring clear structures, shared responsibility and long-term commitment. With key action areas such as energy, mobility, nutrition, waste and environmental education, and with concrete methods like Climate Checks, Vision Workshops and roadmaps, the handbook supports schools and municipalities in driving climate-neutral development.
