The Code of Conduct for Businesses in the Wind Energy Sector

dflip

EUKI project Wind4Bio promotes the convergence of wind energy and biodiversity policies by involving civil society to find a consented transition to renewable energy sources.

The Wind4Bio Code of Conduct provides a framework for integrating biodiversity protection into wind energy projects, ensuring environmental sustainability across all stages. It supports responsible wind farm development by promoting environmental impact assessments, adaptive management, and habitat restoration. To minimise environmental impact and build community trust, it also emphasises stakeholder engagement, transparency and legal compliance. By aligning wind energy initiatives with EU sustainability goals, Wind4Bio fosters collaboration and innovation, contributing to sustainable energy production and conservation efforts.
