Empowering Local Climate Action Conference
Join the team from EUKI project ELCA in Witzenhausen, Germany, on 26 March, 9am to 5pm, for a dynamic event dedicated to knowledge sharing, networking, and innovative climate action, featuring expert presentations, interdisciplinary discussions, and insights from the European Climate Initiative.

The event will provide a platform for knowledge sharing, networking and the promotion of innovative capacity building and transnational exchange formats (Community of Practice).
Conference
The morning hours are open to the public and feature a number of outstanding guest presentations and expert contributions from the local climate protection sector.
An interdisciplinary panel discussion with representatives from science, civil society and the private sector will follow, to discuss interdisciplinary perspectives and solutions for sustainable climate action in the region and beyond.
In the afternoon, the ELCA project trainees from Romania and the Czech Republic will present the results of their country-specific project work, which is designed as a practical part of the second phase of the ELCA training. It will provide valuable insights into innovative climate protection measures in Eastern Europe and invites to interactive dialogue. The event will conclude with another expert panel discussion on ‘Climate resilience as a design imperative’. Key challenges and solutions for sustainable climate resilience planning in urban and rural areas will be up for discussion.
