EUKI Academy Web Seminar: New GHG Mitigation Reporting Tool
Prepare for EUKI’s new mitigation reporting requirements. Learn how to use the new Excel-based Reporting Tool “Mitigation” to report greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions, avoided emissions and carbon removals under the EUKI Standard Indicators.
Online
03. September 2026
10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
EUKI is launching its new Excel-based Reporting Tool “Mitigation” for reporting greenhouse gas emission reductions, avoided emissions and carbon removals under the EUKI Standard Indicators:
- IVa – Direct mitigation: GHG emissions reduced, avoided or removed through mitigation measures financed by an EUKI project.
- IVb – Indirect mitigation: GHG emissions reduced, avoided or removed through technical assistance and enabling activities implemented by an EUKI project.
The tool supports EUKI projects in documenting their mitigation measures, baseline and project scenarios, calculation approaches, assumptions, data sources and monitoring parameters. It also provides a consistent structure for reporting planned targets, annually achieved results and projected mitigation impacts over the lifetime of the supported measures.
During this web seminar, the EUKI team will introduce the new reporting requirements and explain how to determine whether project results qualify as direct or indirect mitigation. Participants will receive a guided introduction to the accompanying Reference and Definition Sheet, which explains the indicators’ scope, key concepts, data requirements and calculation methods. Practical examples will illustrate how emission reductions and removals can be estimated and documented.
The seminar will also include a live walkthrough of the Excel-based Reporting Tool “Mitigation”. Participants will learn where to describe their mitigation activities, enter parameters and assumptions, document calculation methods, and report planned and achieved values. The final part of the event will be dedicated to questions, discussion and feedback from the EUKI community.

Who Should Attend?
The web seminar is intended for EUKI project members, particularly project implementers, project managers, monitoring and evaluation staff, technical experts and partner organisations whose projects contribute – or may potentially contribute – to measurable GHG emission reductions, avoided emissions or carbon removals. Projects generating relevant mitigation results are required to use the tool as part of EUKI project proposals, amendments and narrative reporting. The accompanying Definition Sheet supports projects in selecting suitable data sources, documenting assumptions and applying appropriate calculation or estimation methods.
