EUKI Communication Strategy Workshop 2026

The EUKI communication team invites you to a two-day communications strategy workshop in Bucharest, Romania. From Tuesday to Wednesday, June 16-17, 2026, participants will gain the skills to communicate project information effectively.

In this two-day seminar, we aim to equip participants with essential tools to develop a sustainable and effective communication strategy. By the end of the workshop, participants will leave with a concrete strategy that helps streamline public relations activities for their project and ensure their communications efforts are aligned with their project goals.
 

Target Audience 

Priority will be given to communicators from the new EUKI projects under the Call for Project Ideas 9. Communicators from running projects are also welcome to register as well. This workshop is designed for communicators who are either new to climate communication or looking to deepen their existing knowledge. We also welcome registrations from employees of non-profit organisations, regional or local authorities, universities, or other educational institutions who have not been involved with EUKI before.

Trainers and Experts

Sorin Cebotari and Ada Roseti will facilitate the workshop. Sorin Cebotari is an experienced researcher and communicator in the field of climate change. He supports the Romanian climate community in building a resilient and strong voice to communicate expert knowledge on climate change to the wider public.
Ada Roseti is a science communication trainer and researcher, with a focus on bringing more science in society by training scientists in public engagement and outreach. She is the founder of the biggest Romanian public speaking competition for young researchers, Games of Science, and is actively involved in climate and environment communication.

You will have the opportunity to learn from and discuss with editors in chief and social media content creators:

  • Florin Zubascu
    He is a Romanian journalist with nine years of experience reporting on EU research and innovation programmes. Since 2022 he holds the role of executive editor at Science|Business.
    There he reports on and coordinates Science|Business coverage of EU R&I policy, the Horizon Europe programme, Europe’s innovation divide and R&D policy reforms in central and eastern Europe.
    Science|Business is a media and communications company focused on European and international R&I policy and investment. It was founded in 2004, and publishes high-quality news of R&I policy on its open-access web site which had 1 million visitors in 2021, and a twice-weekly newsletter with 25,000 registrants. It also mounts about 30 events a year focused on various aspects of R&I policy, and manages a growing network of more than 70 leading universities, companies and research organisations.
  • Dan Duca
    With more than 20 years of experience in the press, Dan Duca has been a domestic politics reporter and political commentator for several websites and TV stations. He was the editorial coordinator of the websites of some of the most important Romanian news broadcasters – Realitatea TV and Antena 3. From 2020 to February 2024 he was editor-in-chief of the newspaper and website Libertatea. Currently, he is the editorial director of Hotnews.ro, and since June 2024 he is co-founder of the investigative platform SNOOP.ro.
  • Faiăr Silviu
    is a Romanian YouTuber and streamer. Known for his political and social commentary, he is one of the most viewed Twitch streamers in Romania. He boasts a large following across major social media platforms:
    • Twitch: ~166,000 followers (he is recognized as one of the most-followed Romanian Twitch streamers).
    • YouTube: ~252,000 subscribers on his main Faiăr Silviu LIVE channel, and ~108,000 subscribers on his MOMENTS
    • Instagram: ~156,000 followers.
    • TikTok: ~185,000 followers.
