Hosted by the EUKI Academy in partnership with the Institute for Sustainable Development Foundation (ISD) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), this event brings together representatives from EUKI projects and Polish and German policymakers to discuss current and future policy challenges in the realm of climate protection and energy transition.

As the EU’s 2030 milestone is coming closer, this event will focus on the implementation of energy legislation, its challenges and opportunities, particularly at the Polish national level. Throughout the event, you will have the opportunity to get to know the EUKI projects and distinguished speakers will explore relevant key topics.

The event will begin with an Internal Networking session where the EUKI project implementers and partners will have the opportunity to get to know each other, discuss key successes and main challenges. It aims to bring together the projects, exchange experiences and foster cooperation.

In the EUKI Project Showcase, our guests from the policy level will have the opportunity to learn about the EUKI initiative and meet the implementers of the Polish EUKI projects. They will hear about the successes, learnings and impacts achieved by EUKI projects in Poland thus far. It will be followed by the Official Opening, including a Keynote held by a representative from the Polish Ministry for Climate and Environment (TBC).

The Political Roundtable on Europe’s Green Transition – 2030 and Beyond, concerns the implementation of energy legislation toward the EU’s 2030 milestone, focusing on the challenges and opportunities, particularly at the Polish national level. The discussion aims to define Poland’s energy transition schedule and explore ways to enhance participation in this process. It will contribute by bridging the gap between policies, funding, and public engagement at the national level.

Participants of the roundtable:

  • Berthold Goeke, Director General for Climate Action, German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action
  • A representative from the Polish Ministry for Climate and Environment (TBC)
  • Zofia Wetmańska, Chief Strategy Officer & Head of Regulatory Analysis, Instytut Reform
  • Alicja Kuczera, CEO of Polish Green Building Council & Chair of Europe Regional Network at World Green Building Council, EUKI Project Retrofit HUB

Lastly, the EUKI Academy Training on Effective climate action communication in politically difficult times in Poland, led by journalist Adrianna Borowicz, will equip participants with key competencies to create messages that effectively reach and encourage both the general public and political decision-makers. The training will go beyond covering only the facts of climate change by forming an understanding of political culture, media dynamics, and the specific challenges posed by disinformation. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with experts and gain a deeper understanding of successfull climate communication.
