More Information
The European Climate Initiative (EUKI) supports climate action projects and the Regional Climate Partnership between Germany and the Western Balkans. To strengthen the dialogue and cooperation among the EUKI Community as well as local and national policy makers and broader civil society in the Western Balkans, the event will feature a range of interactive workshops, networking opportunities, keynotes and panel discussions.
Participants can expect a variety of formats, reflecting on the most significant issues, challenges, and opportunities that the Western Balkans face with the implementation of the Green Agenda. Among these are high-level panel discussions on the acceleration of decarbonisation action under consideration of current developments, like the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and the National Energy and Climate Plans (NECPs). EUKI projects will share insights from their work, ranging from topics like strategic climate partnerships and climate communication to local climate action and the just transition. Most importantly, the event will serve as an opportunity to network and strengthen networks.
As part of the Networking Event, participants are invited to join a communications training on 8 October with journalist Alena Beširević. The interactive session will explore how to reach target audiences effectively, craft clear key messages, and engage with the media. Practical tips and tools for impactful communication, dealing with climate skepticism, and sharing project successes with journalists will be complemented by insights into EUKI’s public relations work.
