At EUKICON26, stakeholders from all six Western Balkan countries highlighted a growing need for qualified specialists, modern vocational education, and stronger cooperation between industry and training providers in green technologies.
This is where the EUKI-funded project GreenVOCnet creates impact. The project develops vocational training programmes for green hydrogen and heat pumps and is now preparing a new initiative for the Western Balkans focused on green technologies, AI, and XR-supported learning.
A first milestone will be the upcoming “Green Skills for the Future” online transfer workshop, happening on the 18th of June, from 10 am to 12 pm, bringing together educators, industry representatives, policymakers, and international experts from across the region.
Topics will include:
• Green technologies and labour market needs,
• AI and XR in vocational training,
• MOOCs and innovative digital learning approaches,
• Best-practice cooperation models between VET and industry,
• Opportunities for future international cooperation.
In the workshop, experts and industrial partners including Keyter Technologies from the GreenVOCnet network, as well as the Metaverse Academy Project, will support knowledge transfer. Participants will gain valuable insights into current developments in green technologies, AI, and XR-supported learning, while also exploring opportunities for future collaboration across the Western Balkans and beyond.
The workshop will be held in English.
