Ireland will assume the Presidency of the Council of the EU on 1 July 2026, marking the start of a new Presidency trio with Lithuania and Greece. At a crucial time for EU climate and energy policy, the Presidency will help shape discussions on the post-2030 climate and energy framework and the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF).

Attend our online seminar on 29 June 2026, 14:00 to 15:30 CEST to explore the priorities of the Irish Presidency and discuss how civil society can engage in shaping ambitious climate and energy policies. Bringing together representatives from government, civil society and environmental organisations, the event will provide insights into key policy developments and opportunities for engagement at a time when civic space is facing growing challenges across Europe.
