Bulgaria’s draft Climate Social Plan (SCP) has been adapted through the work of the EUKI project ClimateFairMonitor partners to make it more effective, fairer and more inclusive. It provides for tiered financial support for energy-efficiency refurbishments. Particularly vulnerable, low-income households will have their costs covered in full, whilst other households may receive grants of up to 40 per cent of the renovation costs. This is intended to encourage energy-efficient renovations in more residential buildings, thereby strengthening social equity and maximising the positive impact of the measures.
