In 2023, EUKI project Ready4NetZero supported the city of Siemiatycze in Poland to invest in an innovative photovoltaic system with energy storage for its municipal hospital. Now, the hospital covers up to 30% of its energy needs from renewable sources. The project trained the hospital staff how to design their energy consumption efficiently. Siemiatycze's hospital approximately saves 200 tons CO₂ emissions annually. This is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 56.000 - 68.000 households. A substantial contribution to reducing the ecological footprint of the healthcare sector in the region.
