In Bordesholm, Germany, a newly built municipal office now consumes just 8,000 kWh per year but produces 13,000 kWh thanks to integrated renewable systems. This low-energy building, developed under the EUKI-funded cross-border cooperation project, showcases energy autonomy with solar power and battery storage. The town’s consistent energy management is now reducing CO2 emissions significantly and cutting public costs.
