EUKI Academy Web Seminar: Tackling Transport Poverty

This is the recording of the EUKI Academy web seminar „Tackling Transport Poverty“, held on 17 July 2025. The webinar examined how transport poverty can be understood and addressed through socially just and effective approaches, with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe. Representatives from the European Commission, civil society, and municipalities explored how EU-level guidelines can translate into practical, context-sensitive solutions. The session discussed definitions and indicators of transport poverty, methods to identify vulnerable groups, and the role of funding instruments in supporting equitable mobility. Speakers also shared good practices that enhance access to clean, affordable, and inclusive transport in structurally disadvantaged regions.
