Classroom for Life – Education for Sustainable Development

dflip

EUKI project Classroom for Life transforms traditional education in Slovenia by equipping teachers with innovative tools and training to become sustainability learning facilitators, fostering experiential and interdisciplinary approaches to climate and environmental education.

This interdisciplinary monograph explores innovative approaches to integrating sustainability into educational systems. Key topics include the role of critical consciousness in sustainable development education, systemic challenges in ecological literacy, and the effectiveness of game-based learning and experiential methods. Studies examine outdoor learning, interdisciplinary education, and innovative teaching strategies, such as integrating environmental topics into language and mathematics curricula. Additionally, research on sustainability behaviours in higher education provides insights for targeted interventions. By bridging educational theory with real-world application, the publication offers valuable guidance for educators, policymakers, and researchers in fostering environmentally aware and proactive global citizens.

This monograph includes articles written in Slovenian and English language.
