Wind4Bio Lessons Learnt Report on Protecting Biodiversity

dflip

EUKI project Wind4Bio promotes the convergence of wind energy and biodiversity policies by involving civil society to find a consented transition to renewable energy sources.

This report presents the main discussion points and key takeaways from three thematic workshops held in Greece, Latvia, and Poland. These workshops brought together business representatives to discuss best practices and the importance of integrating biodiversity considerations throughout the lifecycle of wind power projects. Additionally, the report highlights the project’s outcomes, particularly the Code of Conduct, as a means to promote responsible corporate behaviour. The report emphasises the need for regulatory support, incentives, and collaboration among businesses, civil society, and public authorities to ensure the sustainable development of wind energy.
