Wind4Bio Lessons Learnt Synthesis Report

dflip

EUKI project Wind4Bio promotes the convergence of wind energy and biodiversity policies by involving civil society to find a consented transition to renewable energy sources.

The Lessons Learnt Synthesis Report highlights the outcomes of three workshops held in Greece, Latvia, and Poland, focusing on improving cooperation between public authorities and civil society to mitigate the impact of wind energy projects on biodiversity. The report introduces the challenges posed by wind energy development, shares key insights and lessons learnt from the workshops, and offers policy recommendations to enhance dialogue and decision-making. These include developing joint consultation mechanisms, ensuring transparent communication, and fostering early public involvement to address biodiversity concerns. By promoting structured collaboration, Wind4Bio provides a framework for balancing renewable energy expansion with ecosystem preservation.
