Russia’s war in Ukraine and the varying dependencies on its fossil fuels amongst European countries once more sped up the urgency to transform our economies, cities, and ways of life towards a cleaner and greener future.
How can we make use of this dynamic? Which energy sources and technologies help secure energy independence in the short run, while boosting climate action in the long run? Which solutions do EUKI projects already provide, and what more is needed for a climate-neutral future?
At the EUKI Conference 2022 ‘EUKICON22 – Fostering the Green Transition’, representatives from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), the EU Commission and over 250 EUKI project members will ponder on these questions.
Dr. Simon Marr, Head of Division European Climate Policy, European Climate Initiative, Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK)
Ulrike Leis, Deputy Director Project Finance Programme European Climate Initiative (EUKI)
Patrick Graichen/Sven Giegold, State Secretary in the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK)
Anelia Stefanova, Energy Transformation Area Leader, CEE Bankwatch
Dr. Nils Meyer-Ohlendorf, Senior Fellow & Head of the International and European Governance Program, Ecologic Institute
