27. November 2024
09:00 - 17:00
Join us to engage in insightful discussions, exchange innovative ideas, network with peers and create new collaborations that aim to enhance the impact of climate projects. Hosted by the EUKI Academy in partnership with the Green Policy Institute and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), this event brings together representatives from EUKI projects and Baltic policymakers to discuss current and future policy challenges in the realm of climate protection and energy transition. Throughout the event, you will have the opportunity to get to know the EUKI projects and distinguished speakers will explore relevant key topics.
The event will begin with an Internal Networking session where you will have the opportunity to get to know the EUKI projects‘ implementers and partners. It aims to bring together the projects, exchange experiences and foster cooperation. In three parallel thematic discussion rounds, you will have the opportunity to discuss current issues in the Baltics, with an input provided for each topic: transport, agriculture, and the heating sector. We are happy to learn from your expertise and contributions in engaging breakout groups.
The Political Roundtable – Europe’s Green Transition 2030 and Beyond
The roundtable will explore the implementation of ambitious EU climate and energy legislation, focusing on the critical milestones of 2030 and 2040. Key discussions will address the opportunities and challenges of linking policies, funding, and people at the regional level in the Baltics, with insights into how the European Climate Initiative (EUKI) can contribute to this transformative journey.
We will continue discussing current issues in the Baltic states in a second round of discussions, starting with the highly relevant topic of effective climate action communication. Following that, we will have another three parallel thematic discussion rounds on current issues focusing on the topics of hydrogen, buildings, and forests, each featuring an input and where your expertise and contributions are welcome and appreciated.
We look forward to concluding the day with an optional guided tour of the Palace of the Grand Dukes in Vilnius. Afterwards, you are invited to come together for an informal dinner. We would be happy to see many of you there!
