20. April 2021 - Climate education on the rise – Experiences in introducing climate change in Bulgarian and Lithuanian school curricula

Education is an essential factor in the global fight against climate change. The international community has recognized the importance of climate education and has committed to “developing and implementing education and awareness programs on climate change and its impacts”, at national and international levels (Article 6 of the UNFCCC as well as Article 12 of the Paris Agreement). But how can these commitments and programs be put into practice? The web seminar will highlight challenges and opportunities and discuss the different experiences of introducing climate change into curricula in Bulgaria and Lithuania.

In this webseminar, representatives of the EUKI Projects “Together for Sustainable School” and “Towards introduction of Climate Action in the Educational Curriculum of Bulgarian Schools” will discuss their different experiences of introducing climate change into the curricula in Bulgaria and Lithuania.

The web seminar takes place on 20th April 2021 – 10:00-11:00 CET, via MS Teams
