25 October - 11 November 2021 - Online Training: Convening Multi-Stakeholder Processes

Today’s world is faced by unprecedented, interdependent and highly dynamic complex challenges. At the forefront is the climate crisis, a most urgent and complex challenge that requires the collaboration of a multiple actors across geographies, disciplines and levels to work together.

Many EUKI projects are supporting such collaborative processes but effective dialogue and working together is often much more difficult than expected. Public discourse is getting increasingly polarised. Actors that need to work together often share a history of distrust, bring different mindsets and worldviews to the table and see little common ground or incentive for cooperation.

The envisaged training shall address the question of how a meaningful multi-stakeholder dialogue and productive collaboration can be initiated under these circumstances. How can reluctant stakeholders (governments, private sector, academia, civil society) be convinced to actively engage in these processes? How can civil society organisations move things forward despite a lack (real or perceived) of convening power? How to work with people you don`t agree with or like or trust?

The Training consists of a total of 4 modules and takes place from 9:00 – 12:00 CET on:
