The energy transition in Albania is on and calls for the participation of citizens. This article provides an overview of electricity generation, (renewable) energy consumption and the development of energy communities in the country.
The project “Children stand up!” aims at inspiring young people in Italy and Albania to adopt sustainable lifestyles and to advocate for them in local politics.
EUKI Project EUCENA held a workshop on energy communities specifically addressed to the residents of the Epirus region in the North-West of Greece. Citizens could learn more about energy communities, what their benefits are, and how they can be established.
In the second “Gender and Energy” online workshop session by EUKI project EUCENA, the focus was laid on the specific tools and instruments for gender-just energy communities. Moreover, the workshop provided observations and recommendations on how to put equality into practice.
Citizen energy is a means for citizens to take climate action into their own hands. EUCENA supports the civic energy movement in Europe and promotes the transfer of knowledge between Central and South-Eastern Europe.
