Western Balkans EUKI Networking Conference: Follow-up Report

In order to strengthen the dialogue and cooperation between civil society and local and national policy makers in the Western Balkans, the EUKI Academy, in cooperation with the Urban Research Institute, URI, hosted the Western Balkans EUKI Networking Conference on 25-27 September 2023 in Tirana, Albania.

In this conference report, the EUKI Academy summarised the full event, which consisted of keynotes, panel discussions, group sessions and other networking opportunities. Participants and speakers contemplated how the Western Balkan countries can move forward in the implementation of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans (GAWB). Increased regional cooperation, the alignment with the European Green Deal, and the importance of civil society engagement were the focus of discussion.
