Workshop – How to Improve Climate Governance in the Western Balkans
This workshop will take place on 23 January 2024, from 14:00 to 17:30 pm to discuss how to improve climate governance in the Western Balkan countries. This event aims to bring together representatives from civil society organizations, governmental bodies, and other interested parties from the region.

During this interactive workshop, participants will have the opportunity to discuss challenges in cooperation, the Climate Bridges Network and more. They will also have the chance to connect with like-minded individuals and contribute to the development of climate governance in the Western Balkan countries.
This workshop is organised by CIPRA in context of their participation in EUKI project Climate Bridges.
Agenda and Key topics
After a short presentation of a climate governance analysis in the Western Balkans countries and 2 keynotes, participants get to discuss the following key topics in an inter-active setting.
Key topics include:
- Challenges in Cooperation: Identify the main obstacles and challenges in the collaboration between civil society organizations and (semi-)governmental bodies in the field of climate mitigation.
- Learning: Receive insights from our keynote speakers on challenges and opportunities and together discuss solutions.
- Good Practices: Get inspired from successful examples in the Western Balkan countries that we can use as role models or inspiration.
- Climate Bridges Network: Discover how the recently established Climate Bridges Network can help improve the situation in the region.
