Creative autumn in GreenTecLab: First start-ups and new activities in the European GreenTecLabs (GTL)
After numerous bootcamps and pitches on Crete in Piraeus (Greece), in Cadiz, La Janda (Spain) and in Nitra (Slovakia), the GreenTecLab project is now providing professional support to the first 11 projects that want to support climate protection with innovative business ideas. That means that all regional GTLs are working now. The projects and future start-ups, will create new jobs in their regions and implement new climate protection-related ideas. The projects are at different stages of development and will present themselves in short videos on the GTL website from January 2022.
In all regions bootcamps and pitches will continue because we have met with an enormous interest in the regions.
The European networking idea is an important element in the GTL approach. For this reason, the Heinrich Böll Foundation is funding a study and networking visit in the Ruhr Area for the five projects that won the first pitches in Crete. They will visit related German start-ups and enterprises as well as German Hubs and Technology Parks.
In all local GTLs, the topics of land and circular economy and also the topic of sustainable services in tourism are of great importance. In Piraeus, the topics of sustainable construction and sustainable ports are added. From January 2022, the thematic expert seminars will also start, which will be announced via the website.
