Report: Emission Reduction Strategies for the Transport Sector in Spain

dflip

Transport is the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in Spain. Since 2012, transport emissions in Spain have been increasing; in the context of needing to be decarbonised by the midcentury under the Paris Agreement, this trend needs to be rapidly reversed.

The objective of this report is to show how Spain can decrease their transport emissions from a broad range of European and national measures. In particular, the report focuses on reductions in road transport emissions that fall under the jurisdiction of the European Climate Action Regulation (CAR).
