Fit for Society – Benchmarks for a social ’Fit for 55’ Package

dflip

With the Fit for 55 package, the European Union is embarking on a deep transformation of its economy which, in turn, will imply profound changes for society. The social acceptance of the package is therefore fundamental to the upcoming negotiations as well as the successful implementation on the ground. In the briefing „Fit for society – benchmarks for a social ’Fit for 55’ package”, E3G proposes five benchmarks alongside concrete recommendations for strengthening the social dimension of the Fit for 55 package.

The E3G- Third Generation Environmentalism Briefing was published within the frame of EUKI project Energy Transformation Debate in CEE and points out directions how the EU climate goals can be achieved by considering social factors.
