Mapping Building Material Stocks in Cities: Regional Material Cadastres

dflip

EUKI project CirCon4Climate contributes to minimising natural resource consumption and climate change mitigation through strengthening circular construction practices in Czechia, Poland, and Slovenia.

The paper “Mapping Building Material Stocks in Cities: Regional Material Cadastres” by CirCon4Climate outlines the creation of regional material cadastres, databases managing information on building materials in specific areas, to support circular building strategies at city or regional level to conserve resources and reduce emissions.
It explains how to calculate material cadastres, map building material stocks, prepare data using ArcGIS software, and integrate building information to create digital city models. The publication emphasises the importance of updating data, spatially overlapping datasets and the significance of regional material cadastres in promoting sustainability in urban development.

The publication is also available in Czech, Polish and Slovenian.
