Sustainable Mobility on the Way to School

dflip

The advancing climate change requires a far-reaching change in our mobility. The choice of transport is a concrete possibility to mitigate climate change. On their daily way to school and to their leisure activities, children often go by car with their parents. This creates even more traffic in front of schools, causing insecurity, noise and emissions that are harmful to health and the climate.

This guide by Guidehouse shows ways in which children and teenagers can make their way to school independently and safely. In doing so, they strengthen their sense of self and responsibility for the environment and contribute to the avoidance of emissions. The guide is available in German, Czech, Polish and Greek and serves as an aid for city administrations, schools, teachers, parents and pupils.
