Move Eco-friendly drawing competition in Vas County, Hungary
In the framework of the HINGE project, supported by the European Climate Initiative (EUKI), the Vas County Government Office organised the 2nd Intermodal Awareness Raising Day on 19 September 2023. On the same day, the results of the “Move Eco-friendly” drawing competition launched at the beginning of the summer were became public on the website of the office.
The ceremonial announcement of the results took place on 4 October 2023 at the County Hall, attended by many of the winning students.
During the announcement of the drawing competition, answers from young people to questions have been sought, such as:
- What can we do to ensure that our planet remains liveable in the future?
- What would be happen if we used our cars less?
- How would we get to the shops, school or our parents to work?
- How would we go on trips and holidays?
The competition is divided into two age groups: 6-10-year-olds and 11-15-year-olds. There were 17 entries in the 6-10 age group and 9 entries in the 11-15 age group. A professional jury selected the top three winners in each age group, and a public vote on the Office’s Facebook page allowed anyone to vote for their favourite work. The professional jury tried to evaluate the answers to the questions and the ideas, as well as the artistic execution.
