How EUKI projects enhance the energy transition
The energy transition as an opportunity for improving the well-being of local communities and the national economy was the discussion topic of the stakeholder meeting, held on June 9, 2021 through the online platform Webex, hosted by WWF Greece in close collaboration with the German Ministry of Environment.
As the climate crisis accelerates, the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy is urgent. Thus, we must ensure that the transition towards a net zero economy happens in a just and participatory way, leaving no one behind. WWF Greece as a partner with WWF Germany, WWF Poland, and WWF Bulgaria in the “Just Transition in Eastern and Southern Europe” project, supported by the European Climate Initiative (EUKI) of the German Ministry of Environment, organised a networking event under the title “Networking meeting of the EUKI beneficiaries in Greece – How EUKI projects enhance the energy transition”.
